A recent study shared on the PayScale blog had some interesting results that I just had to share.

As a consultant, “you’ll spend over $7,000 a year on marketing: 22 percent of consultants say that they spend most of their time networking, while 38 percent of them say that referrals earn them the most revenue.” Basically, life as a consultant means you’ll need to embrace networking and know how to effectively cultivate referrals from your network.
